Bio
Tatsuya Kubo joined the Firm in 2010 as a managing director. His focus is to establish a subsidiary of HarbourVest in Tokyo and enhance and build relationships with institutional investors and general partners in Japan. Tatsuya Kubo joined the Firm from Fortress Investment Group Japan, where he served as Managing Director and Head of Business Development after launching the Japan-based business. Prior to that, he spent over 20 years as a senior manager at Norinchukin Bank, one of the largest financial institutions in Japan, where he built and managed a multi-billion dollar alternative investment portfolio. He received a BA from Waseda University in 1988 and an MBA from Duke University in 1994. Tatsuya Kubo speaks fluent Japanese and English.
