Tyler Hartsock

Bio

Mr. Hartsock serves as an Principal in Northgate's San Francisco office. He is responsible for sourcing and analyzing venture capital partnership and direct investment opportunities, in addition to fundraising activities and portfolio management. Prior to joining Northgate Capital, he was an Associate at Greenspring Associates, a $4.2 billion global venture capital FoF based in Baltimore, Maryland. At Greenspring Associates, he was active in all aspects of the investment process, including primary fund investments, secondary investments and direct co-investments. He also spent time at Savano Capital Partners, a Washington, D.C. based venture capital firm, where he focused on sourcing and evaluating secondary investment opportunities. In addition, Mr. Hartsock played poker professionally throughout the United States for several years. Tyler is a magna cum laude graduate of Virginia Tech, where he holds a B.S. in Finance. While at Virginia Tech, he supervised a long-only student-run equity portfolio for the Virginia Tech Foundation.
