Ulf von Haacke

Bio

Ulf joined 3i Germany in 2001 and was appointed Managing Director in May 2009. He started his career with Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, working with clients in the industrial goods, materials and automotive industries. He headed Fraunhofer's Boston, before joining the Boston Consulting Group as a senior consultant and project leader in their industrial goods practice. Ulf has experience in buyouts as well as growth capital finance and heads the German general industrial sector. His latest deals were the MBO of NORMA Group and the subsequent acquisitions of ABA and BREEZE as well as the acquisitions of Mold Masters and DruckChemie. Ulf studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH), where he also received a PhD. He holds a degree in Business Administration from the distance university Hagen.
