Bio
Varun graduated from the University of Delhi with a degree in electronics engineering, during which time he was part of the nascent cultural committee and a member of the editorial board. Wanting to get a first hand view of technology development for business, Varun worked at the University of Cambridge with a team engaged in designing laser based sensor systems for a startup in the mining industry. To get a better grasp of business fundamentals, Varun joined the MBA program at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, where he was part of the entrepreneurship cell and worked on raising corporate sponsorships. He interned with the Tata Group as part of its core management cadre. A desire to tackle the most challenging business issues led Varun to the Boston Consulting Group where he worked across sectors on issues ranging from corporate and BU strategy, implementing new business lines and preparing organizations for large scale growth. At BCG, Varun spent considerable time on supporting companies in their quest for rapid growth, working with small teams in rolling out initiatives across the country. At Matrix, Varun is excited about working with entrepreneurs on both strategic and operational issues with a focus on value creation through operational excellence and sustainable differentiation.
