William D Brewer

Bio

Mr Brewer is currently a Managing Director of Yellowstone Energy Ventures, and is actively involved in the board level of Yellowstone Energy Products (Yellowstone’s manufacturing investment vehicle) and Grayloc Products. For the three years previous to joining the Yellowstone organization in 2000, Mr Brewer was Vice President and General Manager of Omsco Industries, a drill string products manufacturer located in Houston. Prior to his association with Omsco, Mr Brewer spent more than 25 years with Cooper Industries and General Electric (GE) in various aspects of the electrical and manufacturing industries. Mr Brewer served as President of Cooper Power Systems, Vice President and General Manager of Cooper’s Distribution Equipment Division and Corporate Vice President of Manufacturing Services. Cooper Power Systems consisted of 10 plants, an R&D facility and a $ 700 million domestic and international sales organization. Prior to joining Cooper, Mr Brewer spent more than 10 years with GE in a variety of capacities and is a graduate of the GE manufacturing training program. Mr Brewer has been active in a variety of industry associations throughout his career. Most notably, he has served as Chairman of the Power Equipment Division and a member of the Board of Governors of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). In addition, he served two terms as a member of the Industry Standards Advisory Committee on capital goods trade at the US Department of Commerce. Mr Brewer is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with engineering degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate level. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at the Harvard Business School.
