Elan is passionate about human performance, bringing experience as an entrepreneur, investor, and strategist across digital health, neurotechnology, artificial intelligence, and other frontier technologies. Elan co-founded Blue Note and Swing Therapeutics, prescription digital therapeutics companies conceived of and incubated by JAZZ. Elan recently led C. Light, a company that develops eye-tracking technology for the management of patients with multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s. Previously, he served in operating roles at several technology startups in the AI, digital health, and wellness spaces (from the MIT, Berkeley, and Stanford ecosystems). Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Elan worked at the Boston Consulting Group as a startup venture architect in their Digital Ventures division. Elan was also a senior consultant at Monitor Deloitte, where he advised chief executives across multiple government agencies and private sector companies. As a consultant, he specialized in translational medical science, involving clinical, IT, regulatory, and reimbursement development. He is currently an advisor at the University of California, San Francisco Health Hub and teaches undergraduates at the University of California, Berkeley. Elan earned his bachelor's degree magna cum laude from Tufts University and M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
