Herry is Founding Partner of Lightspeed China Partners (LCP), a leading China-focused early-stage venture capital firm with investments in mobile Internet, consumer services, and enterprise IT. LCP manages around $1B assets through three USD funds and one RMB fund. Previously, Herry was an Executive Director with Lightspeed Venture Partners (LSVP), and joined the Shanghai office in 2008. Headquarted in the Silicon Valley, LSVP manages over $4B assets and has offices globally. Herry’s investments at LCP and LSVP include Tujia, Yun Man Man, FangDD, Xing Bian Li, Trusted Doctors, Ifchange, PPDai (NYSE:PPDF), LianLuo Interactive (SHE: 002280) and MediaV (acquired by Qihoo), etc. Herry was on the Cyzone.cn's list of “China Top 40 Investors under 40" for year 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Herry was awarded the prize as “Top 10 Young Investors in China” by Chinaventure in 2015. Previously, Herry was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, assisting clients in hi-tech, telecom, media, automotive, and energy industries. He worked closely with board members at Fortune 500 and domestic clients. Additionally, he interacted closely with various domestic government bodies and on NGO projects. Prior to McKinsey, Herry worked as an engineer at Microsoft China. He is the founder of a McKinsey alumni investors' group, ExMcK@Investment, which has more than 200 VC and PE members across China.
