Bio

Marc had an extensive Wall Street career. He began at Bear, Stearns & Company in the Institutional Equities department and then the Convertible Bond Arbitrage Group as an analyst. He joined JPMorgan Securities as a trader in the new investment banking arm, where he traded equities and arbitrage for institutional clients. Marc quickly became a partner at a firm of 12 traders that grew to 350 traders at its peak. Marc managed a group of traders and headed a trading desk. In 1999, Marc managed the firm’s expansion into Europe, opening two offices and directing a team of 35 traders. Marc was also selected to head the U.S. Equity Trading division of Van Der Wielen, a Dutch investment firm. In 2006, Marc began as portfolio manager for Davis Capital Management, a long/short equity fund. Davis Capital anticipated the housing and financial crisis and outperformed most of its peers during that tumultuous time in the financial markets. Marc soon thereafter co-founded a share repurchase company, which focused on structuring share buybacks for publicly traded companies. Before coming to Blockweather, Marc ran a systematic long/short fund based on Wall Street analyst research. Marc now serves as a Co-Chief Investment Officer at Blockweather Holdings, where Marc executes long/short trades, options, futures, and hedging strategies. Marc received a BA in Economics from Boston University. Marc also studied at the London School of Economics and received an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University.
