Bio
Based in San Francisco, Roham is an associate in Newbury's Silicon Valley offices, focused on web, mobile and social. Roham works with portfolio companies to streamline operations, execute growth strategies, and drive towards success. Roham is also actively involved in outreach and investment for companies based in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. He is a co-founder at Plug and Play Egypt, the MENA region's only Silicon Valley-sponsored startup acceleration program, and currently serves as a mentor to several MENA-based companies looking to accelerate operations and expand internationally. Roham also has a strong background and dedication to non-profit work. He serves as Program Director of TechWadi, an organization working to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the MENA region by building bridges to Silicon Valley. Since joining TechWadi in early 2010, he has helped drive the organization's restructuring to focus on mentorship initiatives across the Middle East as well as in Silicon Valley. Born in Iran, Roham grew up in Dubai, UAE; Paris, France; and Vancouver, Canada before finding his home in California. He holds a B.A. in Economics and dual B.S. and M.S. degrees in Biological Sciences from Stanford University.
