Bio

Saloni is a Venture Partner at Congruent Ventures, currently taking a leave of absence to contribute to the 2020 election. Saloni has spent the past 15+ years working with, learning from, and investing in growing companies. She has invested in the large cap private equity markets (Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman), the long-only public markets (SPO), and was a member of the leadership team at a consumer direct marketing business (Columbia House). With a growing awareness of our sustainability crisis and the role both capital markets and consumer decisions can play to help to solve it, she has shifted her focus to working with early-stage sustainability-oriented companies over the past several years. Prior to joining Congruent, Saloni worked with a NY-based family office to help develop and execute a mission-aligned venture investment strategy oriented around sustainability. Having spent her career investing across sectors including software, industrials, and distribution, she now spends most of her time focused on products, brands and platforms that enable a more sustainable consumer economy. Saloni led Congruent’s investment in Kinfield and Thrilling, and is on the Board of Directors at Thrilling. Saloni graduated with an AB in Economics from Harvard College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
