Sergio Mottola

Bio

Sergio is an executive with over twenty years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, strategic partnerships and technology adoption. Sergio was Chairman, CEO of the Republic of San Marino Innovation Institute, a private company owned by the "Serenissima" Republic of San Marino and incorporated to guide the Parliament and the Government on innovation policies. He developed the national strategy; the "San Marino Blockchain" project including the Blockchain legislation passed in Parliament on 6 June 2019; managed the Scientific Committee comprising representatives from leading international companies and professionals (Cisco, SIA, NTT Data, DNV GL, PWC, Studio Gattai, Minoli, Agostinelli & Partners, Studio Loconte & Partners); worked closely with Institutional Organisations (OECD, IMF, MISE) and diplomatic representatives (President of Albania, US Consul General in Florence, Ambassador of Israel in Rome) to articulate strategic partnerships. He holds a degree in International Business, a master degree in Finance and Strategy at Cass Business School in London, where he continues his doctoral research.
