Tony Sevsek

Bio

Tony is an investment executive with over 23 years of trading, sales, and leadership experience in financial technology, alternative investments, and capital markets. Tony’s career includes 17 years at BMO Capital Markets where he played an instrumental role in building BMO Capital’s fixed income trading, distribution, and research capabilities across Canada, U.S. and Europe. In 2011 Tony moved on to become Managing Director and Head FICC Sales for Bank of America Merrill Lynch Canada. During his time at BAML Tony played a leadership role in growing the Canadian franchise, and was part of the firm’s operating committee responsible for strategic planning. An increased interest in alternative investments, financial technology (Fintech), and entrepreneurship eventually led Tony to senior management teams at Dundee Global Investment Management, fintech startup Overbond, and then to founding his own consultancy firm, TRIACS Capital Advisors. In addition to providing business development services to asset managers and hedge funds, TRIACS provides strategy, marketing, and financial advisory services to early-stage organizations in areas such as the technology, health care, and clean energy. Tony’s strong financial background is complimented by a background in sciences. His passion is to help nourish innovation and provide investors with new opportunities for portfolio diversification and improved risk-adjusted returns. Tony has cultivated trustworthy client relationships with key industry and government players in finance and technology, institutional money managers, family offices/HNW, consultants, hedge-funds, and non-profit organizations across Canada and internationally. Tony holds a MBA from the Rotman School of Management where he graduated on the Dean’s List, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry/Physics from the University of Toronto.
